Kate Hudson Talks About her Fiance in Harper's Bazaar

Kate Hudson is the cover subject of the new Harper’s Bazaar, in which she discusses her relationship with fiance and father of her second child, Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy. Hudson appeared on the premiere episode of Glee last night as Rachel’s (Lea Michele) new, not-so-nice New York dance teacher. Hudson sang and danced in the episode and will appear in five more shows.

The Glee gig is Hudson’s first foray back into the spotlight since giving birth to Bingham in 2011, her child with Bellamy. Hudson is also the mother of 8-year-old Ryder, her child with ex-husband Chris Robinson. The actress calls the 14-month-old Bing, and remarked how different her children are from each other.

“[Bingham is"> very determined. Ryder and Bing are polar opposites. In order to get a smile out of Ryder, you had to work really hard when he was a baby,” she said. “Bing is just smiling — he’s happy, he’s joyous. Ryder, I knew he was going to be an artist. But Ryder is comfortable in his own skin.”

Hudson met Bellamy in 2010 at a Thom Yorke concert at the Coachella music festival. She noted that she was attracted to the British rocker right away as he appeared “protective” of her, and that his stage persona is quite different from how he is in real life.

“I didn’t realize what I was walking into,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I was just in awe of his ability and his talent. And then to know him on the other side of it, and how sweet and simple and loving he is. You know how people say that when you meet somebody you love, you feel at home?”

The couple, who are in no rush to marry, are currently splitting time between their Los Angeles residence and the new home they bought in London.
