"Pretty Dirty Secrets": it's a mystery, all right
The web series "Dirty Little Secrets" is an online spin-off of the television series "Pretty Little Liars," which, according to "DLS" co-creator Kim Turrisi in an interview with "The Hollywood Reporter," was "a natural fit and a no-brainer." The producers of the ABC Family series gave the web team creative leeway, too. "Their main concern was they wanted 'Pretty Dirty Secrets' to look like 'Pretty Little Liars' and we wanted it to be an organic 'spinoff,' if you will," said Turrisi. "We used the 'Pretty Little Liars' crew [to shoot it"> so there was no mistaking that the Halloween store was in Rosewood." This viewer has never seen the source material that inspired it, but the web series itself is a sleek little tidbit of entertainment, albeit quite brief, so I don't have much to sink my teeth into. It may help if I actually watched the TV show. But I'm not.
