Even if you don’t follow professional poker chances are you’ve heard of Beth Shak. Her twelve hundred pair shoe collection, which consists of many costly Christian Louboutin high heels, has landed her on the front pages of newspapers, fashion magazines, and celebrity tabloids.
Earlier this summer her famous shoe collection was in the news again when her ex-husband sued her for not claiming the sky-high stilettos as an asset in their divorce. Ultimately the ex dropped his lawsuit but not before jealously inducing details hit the tabloids- the shoe collection, which contains more than seven hundred pairs of Christian Louboutin heels, is worth more than a million dollars and is stored behind password protected doors.
After urging from her daughter, she’d made the jump from being a shoe collector to a shoe designer.
The Beth Shak designed line consists of twenty-five different styles all named after women. Shak’s daughter who inspired the whole endeavor has her own signature shoe look as do a host of celebrities and iconic female figures. Proceeds from the Elizabeth style of shoe, a purples high heel, will be donated to the Children’s Museum of Philadelphia. No word yet on which famous Elizabeth the shoe is in homage to.
