"The Mop and Lucky Files": salty, but no Pepper

Written, created by and starring Jennifer Erholm & Chloe Taylor, The Mop and Lucky Files puts a comical, contemporary spin on feminist TV classics like Honey West (the swingin' 60s female spy series starring Anne Francis? anybody? never mind, sigh), Police Woman ('70s show starring Angie Dickinson??) and Cagney & Lacey (femme cop show from the '80s, you must remember that one), only it takes a much more mundane approach to the material, as the two titular protagonists set up shop as a couple of detectives-for-hire mainly because it's the only viable employment option they can come up with, and the only business they can possibly start up, given their limited skill sets and credit ratings. Directed by TV vet Scott Paulin, the show sports a polished sitcom style, but for those seeking some kickass hot babe action, keep surfing. This one is played strictly for laughs.
